Surprise!

Well, no reason to really be surprised, you must have known it was time! And Penny kindly sent me this lovely design (with orders to include a gushing paragraph about how cool and ginchy she is--consider it gushed!) so I figure I'd debut it today.

Got up this morning, turned on the TV, and there was my Da talking with Peter Falk!

I just stood there grinning. It was the Columbo episode with Dick Van Dyke as the photographer who faked his wife's kidnapping.

If anyone's home today and wants to see it, it's on again at 2p (Eastern time) on A&E and my Da is the tall guy with the dark hair and the big nose and the grey suit playing the police captain.

He's got a couple of scenes, but the one I saw was the one where Columbo is talking to him about the kidnapper riding in cabs and getting a driver's license.

Man, my show has left its legacy with me.

It took place at Christmas time, so I played carols before and afterwards. This means that I have been walking down the street ever since singing:

"Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring-ting-tingling, too
C'mon, it's lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you!"

Passersby are tending to give me the oddest looks...

On Friday I looked at the box scores in the paper for the first time this season, and my Dodgers are already 3/5 in third place behind the Padres, of all the useless teams on the planet earth, and the season has only just begun!

C'mon guys, get with the programme!

Man, I'll tell ya, I'd give a kidney for a shoulder rub right about now. I am in fucking agony.
