Okay, I've run into a snag with that whole "be myself" thing.

I had completely forgotten that "myself" is sulky, petulant, jealous, shy, spiteful and unfriendly. This is problematic. "Myself" shuts down and stops talking. "Myself" tends to flee.

Cynthia says that the thing to do when you're upset is stay put and punish people with your presence, because if you leave you're only giving them what they want. I haven't managed to learn that lesson. Instead, I run out into the rain.

Next time, I'll be somebody else.
