(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

9 April

I got into work at 9.15, which shocked the hell out of those I work with, and I really truly had to work all damn day so that I could leave at 6p.

I wouldn't want to do that every single day, but it gives one a nice sense of accomplishment, for a change.

And we had a party at work just for being such swell people (really!) and I got some extra barbecued chicken to take home, and a damn good thing, too, because I'm broke as hell 'till next payday.

And the show went well. Not as well as it went sometimes in rehearsal, but better than tech and better than Tuesday. Chris just needs to connect to himself, and he'll be quite astonishingly good.

He'll do it tonight. Hopefully, as it's his last chance!

What are the two most unlikely things for me, Kymm Zuckert, to have done?

A. Go through the slush pile on my desk at work.
B. Have sex.

Which do you think I did? Well, I'll give you a hint: The people at work were all VERY SURPRISED that I would do such a thing at my desk in public in front of the security cameras and all!

Yep, I cleared the slush pile!! You thought I might say the other, huh? Well, I didn't notice the Apocalypse approaching, so it couldn't have been that, now could it? And what with only one impossible thing happening per year, clearly the other has no chance of occurring until '99 at the earliest anyway.

It was almost worth it, though, to have a clear desk for the first time in months! I threw out everything with a February date on it--too embarrassing to return those calls now!

I finally figured out what Molly sounds like.

She has this sort of yodeling way of speaking, and it's always reminded me of someone and I couldn't remember who.

Well, it's Emo Phillips. Emo Phillips as a two year old girl, that is.

If there is anyone who is really tapping their foot about the e-mail I owe them (and I'm sure that speaks to many of you), I still have no computer at my house, and have very little time at work to write e-mail. What with all the work I'm doing these days, that is.

I haven't forgotten you, I promise!

One year ago today:
It's like you dropped a penny down the stairs and the only way to get it back is to demolish the entire house.
