(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

23 September

So I spent yesterday at home, which was lovely.

I don't know, there's something so much sweeter about being home on a weekday than on the weekend. It's a little decadent, you know? I slept till noon, spent most of the day in my nightie, took a long bath, wrote my Electzine article (only two days late), cleaned the cat box, washed the dishes, and blew my nose 400 times.

Back to work today. Blech.

Alright, what the hell's going on with Spaghetti-Os and Meatballs?

I haven't seen a can of Spaghetti-Os and Meatballs in months and months, and believe me, I have looked. For some odd reason or another, New York has never exactly been a hotbed of Spaghetti-Os and Meatballs action (though it is possible to find Campbell's Chicken and Dumplings soup, which seemingly disappeared off the edge of the earth sometime in the early eighties, only to surface again in one small grocery store ten blocks from my house in Brooklyn) though one can usually find it if one is diligent.

Recently, however, there isn't a meatball in sight. And that's the thing, you see, it's the meatballs. Every grocery store you go into is lousy with cans of Just Plain Spaghetti-Os, not to mention the hideous and inedible Spaghetti-Os and Franks blech!) but not a meatball to be had for love nor money.

And of course, all of the other Canned Pasta Shapes With Various Extras aren't any good or even worth considering.
Especially if they're in dinosaur shapes

And I wanna know what's going on!!!!

You're never gonna believe this, but there are two count 'em two really fantastic new journals out there! Well, new to me, new to Open Pages anyway.

Journal Burroughs and Robservations.

They're both really special, Burroughs because he's doing something really different with the genre, and Rob because he's an excellent writer. Go look!

The Candyman has seemingly fallen off the face of the earth. And I am not going to call him!
