(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

25 October

Dracula, Dracula, bloody Dracula.

I've gotten to know the show so well though, that I can spend my time between cues reading People magazine or something. And Thursday night I actually set the light levels rather than just feeling it every time, so now I can even pay less attention during the show!

I tend to look up to catch my favourite bits.

The thing is, though, the show has come leaps and bounds since opening night.

If I were re-casting now, I'd only bag half the cast rather than all but three. Several of them, if they would only be audible, like Dracula and Mina, would be quite excellent.

Peter was stunning last night. It was his best performance ever. He, of course, thought that he was dreadful. The great thing about Peter's acting is that he's always working on the show, he never relaxes (unlike myself, who relaxes into a role halfway through the rehearsal process). I really do admire him, though I wish he wasn't so hard on himself.

And then after the show I shot Ed in his straight-jacket wearing Peter's topper and Sean's monocle as sort of an odd version of the New Yorker guy.

It was funny, I didn't have a chance before the show to ask Ed if I could take his picture, and I was worried that he might not want to. Silly me! Ask any actor on earth, practically, if you can take a picture of them and they'll jump at the chance!

Why does nobody ever remind me that I'm not allowed to go into The Body Shop?

I went in for a reason, because I needed creme rinse (without it my hair turns into the Giant Tangled Puff-Ball From Hell) and something to put on my elbows, which were recently pinpointed as the driest points in the known universe. The Sahara is more hydrated than my elbows. But I walked through that Body Shop door, and suddenly realized that I need everything!!

Fortunately, however, I only had twenty-three bucks on me and I left my checkbook at the office, so I was limited in what I could buy. So I got some Vitamin E lip stuff and some Hawthorne Hand Cream and some Lavender Bath and Shower Gel and some Light Conditioner and some Japanese Washing Grains and some shaving cream...and that was $22.42 so I had to stop.

I love getting those little trial sizes of stuff. They last for months and months and only cost a couple of bucks!
