So, I told Diane yesterday that I was leaving Saturday.

She was Not Pleased. At All.

She didn't yell or anything, she was very calm. The problem is that she won't be at work until Thursday next week, which means that the entire AP department will be out and if anyone wants a check it's just too bad for them. So I spent the rest of the day wondering if I'd have a job when I came back. But she was friendly later, so I think everything's cool.

I got home last night and I tried to sign on the network, but my phone had been turned off! I was so pissed! You miss a couple of payments and they switch off your phone without even calling to mention it! So I couldn't get my e-mail and I was absolutely miserable.

The elevator in my office building is getting scarier and scarier.
Now, the building is only three floors, so you'd have to be pretty idle to take the elevator, but I am. It's always been sort of bouncy, but the past couple of days it's been making these dreadful groany noises as it starts and even bigger ones when it gets to the third floor. I've taken to bracing myself against the walls as it goes up, hoping it'll make just one more trip and promising myself that I'll take the stairs next time.

So if I suddenly disappear and stop updating, you'll know that I lost the game with the Russian roulette elevator...
