(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

Remember my fight with John on Sunday?

Well, as I thought, we completely ignored it yesterday. He didn't apologize and neither did I, we both just ignored it. It was a blip, an aberration, not worth discussing or going into. When I saw him yesterday morning, the first thing he said was:

"Was I dreaming, or did you call me last night and say you were locked in?"

I got a package from my Mom yesterday, containing an early birthday prezzie. Now, I am renowned for never opening a package early, never never never. I have had birthday presents in my house for months without peeking, but Mom wanted me to take this with me on my trip, so she forced me to open it right off. It was a pair of overalls! Linen with thin blue and white stripes, and they're really swell. I had tried them on when I was home last and buying a new outfit for my Da's memorial, but she wouldn't buy them for me along with the outfit, 'cause it was too expensive, so I'm thrilled to have them now!

Thanks, Mom!

There's this construction going on in my office building right outside my window, and they're always doing these terrifying things like going up and down on those big metal window washer thingies about one foot away from my face and one of them always pushes his foot against the window frame to stop it from crashing through and showering me with glass (thanks fella, 'preciate it).

Well, the other day there was this burny smell and this big noise. I looked out the window and it turned out that they were cutting pipe. I liked the smell--it reminded me of sitting by a fireplace, but everyone kept coming into my office and sniffing and saying "What is that smell?! and looking accusingly at me like I'm setting the invoices ablaze (not a bad idea).

Everyone else really hated the smell, and I just wished that they would cut pipe every day and keep people the hell out of my office!

They were talking about Frank Sinatra on the radio and they said:
"Whether it was a swinging ballad or a tear jerking ballad, he was always great."

I guess they don't think ol' Frank had much of a range...
