18 March Two of my favourite shows are ER and Chicago Hope, but I'll tell ya, they're getting hard to watch. Whenever there's an old sick person on the show (i.e. every week) I get all teary. Actually, it's worse when it's on a comedy, like when Mel Brooks was in the hospital on Mad About You and it was all just so hilarious. I'm sorry, but old men in the hospital just aren't that funny to me these days.
Speaking of hospital shows, I watched a Chicago Hope last night that I had taped a month before, the one where Aaron's pal was dying and he wanted Aaron to marry his wife after he goes. "You were in love with her twenty years ago!" he said. However, the actress playing the wife, Felicity Huffman, and I went to high school and college together, and she is exactly 33 years old. So, if Aaron were in love with her when she was thirteen... Throws a whole new light on that character...
Why can't anyone put down the lid on the xerox machine? At first I thought it was the guys who weren't putting it down and it was the whole toilet seat thing, but I have recently noticed the girls copying things, lifting the lid to get their original out, and then wandering away like baby ducks, lid still straight up in the air. I guess they think that the fairies will put it down for them.
Took me three hours to send a fax yesterday.
