It's so funny, I've been in New York for fourteen years and as far as I can tell, the cool style that college students wear is exactly the same as it was fourteen years ago when I was a cool college student! That's a lie, actually, as I wasn't all that cool, but you know what I mean.

If you took a bunch of early 80's college students and put them next to a bunch of the current crop, barring a few extra piercings you'd be hard pressed to tell the difference.

Some things just don't change, like college students wearing long black coats and lots of earrings and dying their hair all sorts of colours and thinking they invented that look.

When I was in college I used to love to look out of the window in the front of the subway and watch the tunnel but I haven't done it for so long that I had forgotten all about it. Well, I now ride in the front car to work, and every morning there is a different well-dressed, handsome yuppie type with a briefcase with his nose pressed up against the glass, and I'll bet he's pretending to drive the train.

Please explain to me why every single journal in the whole wide web says "loose" instead of "lose"? I literally see it every other day!

Did someone change the spelling for "lose" and just not tell me?
