So now Inet-Images is just hunky dory at last and I can see my own page and all is sunshine and flowers, except that I simply cannot sign onto Netcom! It is absolutely about to drive me out of my ever-loving mind!

You may have noticed that I didn't update until 5p yesterday. It wasn't that I didn't have the update written, it was that I just couldn't get Netcom to give me a connection for five hours! I called customer service, who were useless (surprise!) and said that there was nothing whatsoever wrong with their end.

Sigh...Sometimes I think that the internet is more trouble than it's worth.

Yesterday was the first day of summer, and it was as though nature turns up the thermostat. And I know I've been saying that one shouldn't bitch about the heat in June or one has nothing left to say in August, but all I have to say about yesterday is:

Christ it was hot.

Another on-line diarist (for the life of me I can't remember who) was mentioning the Flat Cat Syndrome recently. The Flat Cat Syndrome occurs when it's really hot and the cats are no longer able to sit or lay down normally, and instead they lay on their sides on the coolest bit of floor they can find attempting to be as two-dimensional as possible.

Well, yesterday was the first Flat Cat day of the year.

On Friday I was sitting at Diane's desk and though people were around I couldn't see any of them, so I felt like I was alone and started talking to myself like I do when I'm at home. I made a mistake and said aloud:

"Whoopsie! Whoopsie doopsie schnoopsie gloopsie!"

There was this pause, and then from the other side of the half wall separating me from the reception area, Kelly said: "Kymm, I told you to lay off those liquid lunches!"

I was trolling for .wav files the other day, as I am wont to do, and I found a file of my favourite swear word! I knew it was from a movie, but I couldn't for the life of me remember which one. Turns out it's Ghostbusters, and if you want to hear Bill Murray say the best swear word ever invented (and you can say it around little kids 'cause there's nothing actually dirty about it) click here!
