It's Father's Day.
Wrong. So, if you have a father, hold him tight, because you won't have him forever. I don't have mine anymore.
Yesterday I spent the day in the darkroom doing pics from Pirandello (and if you're counting, yes that was seven months ago) and then I went to see Bumblebee Hamlet at Love Creek. When I got off the train at Times Square I headed for the 42nd St. exit where there was a woman bellowing through a megaphone: "PLEASE EXIT THROUGH THE 40TH ST. EXIT. THERE IS NO ACCESS THROUGH THE 42ND ST. EXIT!!!" Over and over and over again. Of course, people weren't paying the slightest bit of attention and they were streaming by her towards the blocked exit. In NY you just get used to ignoring everyone and everything, so giant loud megaphone or no, it was as though nobody was saying a thing. The reason for the blocked egress was because of the Disney Electric Light Parade. Took me twenty minutes to get to the theatre around all of the cordoned-off sidewalks. Now, I love a Disney Electric Light Parade. I think Disney Electric Light Parades are just swell. Nothing makes life sweeter than a Disney Electric Light Parade. At Disneyland. They don't belong either in my town or in my way.
I am the entire AP department at work for the next week. Blerg. In fact, I was the entire AP department as of 2p Friday. By 3.30p Friday I was more stressed out than I had ever been in my life. I swan, when she comes back Monday week I will kiss her feet.
In an interview with Dennis Rodman in Rolling Stone, Dennis said, re Eddie Vedder, "I'm like Stan, and he's Laurel." Huh?
