The motherfucking voice-mail still isn't working at work.
That's three days, people. THREE DAYS!!! Three days of these annoying goddamn people calling and being rude when they can't get to their friends and when I won't take a message. Why should I take a message on a personal call for some asshole that works down in the lab when the phone is ringing off the hook with personal calls for everybody else!
Basically, the key word for yesterday was irritating.
John bought the Men in Black soundtrack, however the only song on it that he likes is the title track. We heard it about fifty times yesterday.
That was pretty irritating as well.
And then after work I sat for Molly and Katie and was braced for more irritation, but actually it was swell. Molly has completely gotten over the HORROR of being without Mommy for short periods of time, and has become really fun. Katie went to bed almost as soon as I got there, so she was no trouble at all as well.
Molly has been doing the most hilarious thing lately. She will say my name, and sometimes she is clearly identifying the people in the room ("Daddy, Mommy, Katie, Kymmie"), but sometimes she'll say "Kymm..." and it will sound as if she's about to say something.
"Kymm..." "Yes, Molly?" "I thought I would take this opportunity to go over a few things with you. Feel free to take notes."
But though she has access to a growing list of words (thank you, pick up, down, Eeyore, Elmo, juice, kittie, bubble, the parts of the face, the numbers one to ten in English and Japanese), but whatever it is that she wants to discuss with me is so big that her vocabulary just can't handle it.
"Kymm..." "Yes Molly?" "....."
And the other fun thing was that she stayed up so late that by the time I took it upon myself to put her to bed, she flopped down and fell asleep the second her head hit the pillow.
I sang to her anyway, but that was mostly just to please myself.
