(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

11 January

I mentioned to Karen at work yesterday that I was going to rehearsal, and she was very thrilled and pumped me with questions about the show and said "You must be so excited!!"
My usual reaction to that question is one of bemusement, because I've been doing this for so long that, no matter how much I love it, it's just what I do, not something to get excited over. And then I realized that I really am excited about this one, what with it being the first full-length that I'm directing and all.

Not to sound soppy, but I'm glad Karen made me realize that.

Josh has gone away again. Peter is on tour. Kathy just moved out to San Francisco. Greg and Elaine are moving to London next week.

I'm starting to feel ABANDONED, people! Knock it off!!

I cannot even BEGIN to tell you how horrible it is working in that new room. It's like being a galley slave. And the most annoying thing is that everyone who DOESN'T have to work back there keeps coming 'round and saying "O, this is cute! This is nice! I like this!" and then swanning back to their own offices.

Look at it through the eyes of those who have to live there every day and then tell me how goddamn cute it is.

I play my radio at my desk. John plays his radio at his desk. Patricia plays her radio at her desk. All different stations. All in one room.

It's like some sort of aural torture device.
