Yesterday, I had my first real rehearsal for Naked Mole Rats, the show I'm directing. It was a seven hour rehearsal that I set up without particularly noticing that I had not included any breaks for myself!

I'm showing my greenness...

Don't forget, NEW PHOTOS on the photo page again!

One more Duchamp story: he submitted a urinal to an art show, labeling it Fountain; the piece was rejected, and caused a great furor in the art community. Anyway, this is a very important piece in the history of American art, and it was at the Dada exhibit. A guard was standing next to the urinal, and a patron walked up to him and said all unknowingly, "Excuse me, can you tell me where the bathroom is?" I laughed and laughed, and nobody had the faintest idea of what I was howling about.

That is a moment that DEFINES dada.

Actually, it was very interesting to look around the rest of the museum after seeing the Dada exhibit, because so much of it would never have existed without that movement.

The smashed piano on the ground floor, especially...

Coupla neat links sent to me recently: Lonely Fred and Josh's Dad's Xmas Story. Great stuff, both of them.
