Bill Zuckert15 December 1915-23 January 1997
15 February Yesterday was the strangest day. I felt as though I was underwater all day, or on the other side of frosted glass. Part of it was sleep-deprivation, I'm certain, but everything really was awfully odd. First off, I woke up to snow everywhere, rapidly being melted into slush by a driving rain. I got on the train, and they had closed the bridge, so all of the express trains were on the local track, which meant that we would go an inch and sit there for twenty minutes before moving another inch. The trip that usually takes 45 minutes took an hour and a half. Why is it that ever time it rain in this town everything grinds to a halt? It always seems to come as such a shock "The water, it is coming from the sky!!" Got to work, and couldn't work, because the internal network, where all of the AP stuff resides, was down down down. Also, my ftp program is there, so I could neither work nor update my page. The network came back up, and I updated, and found out that inet-images was down! I worked for about five minutes, then the network went down again, and I twiddled my thumbs all day. So basically, everything on earth was broken.
Lately, people keep asking me if I'm losing weight, which I don't think is possible, as I've been eating like a demented hog. Luis even said to me "Be careful, don't lose too much", which I thought was awfully sweet, but somewhat unlikely...
My Mom has been complaining about freezing to death, since the furnace has been broken for the past four days. I'm not overwhelmed with empathy, since she lives in Los Angeles. How cold could is possibly be??!!
I'm officially one of the gods of Open Pages! Kat has made me her official Deputy. Watch out, diarists! I'm gonna be cracking that whip!
