Yesterday's best was that I went to see Star Wars at the Ziegfeld after work.
I got there at 6.44 for a 6.45 show, and there were tickets available! And I love to sit in the front row, and found a seat easily.

It was so wonderful. I haven't seen it since it first came out, so there were alot of details that I forgot. There was Mark Hamill's old nose, and Carrie Fisher's hideous hair (she has been quoted as saying that since she was underage when they made the film, that hair was actually child abuse), and Harrison Ford was such a godlike creature--I remember falling for him, but it's funny to see him and think that he looks so young.

But the best part were the memories of 1977.
I was twelve years old and sitting at home with my folks, and my Da opened the Calendar section of the LA Times and pointed to a picture of Chewbacca and said "Look, this picture called Star Wars is opening today. Why don't we go?" So, Mom and Da and I went to the Chinese and saw it. When it finished, Daddy and I turned to each other and said "Let's sit through it again!", so Mom went shopping, and Da and I stayed and watched it again.

And that was the day that I fell in love with movies.

The worst of yesterday was that I had three zits that was so enormous it seemed as though I was growing nipples on my face. I look like a giant pustule with eyes.

A woman at work was away on holiday, and then called in sick for a few days before returning. John whispered to me that she had had her eyes done--that when she came back they were all puffy. He said "Who does she think she's kidding?"

Well, me for one.

For the past few months, Monty, one of them bad kitties, has not been sleeping next to my head, as he has for years and years, and the other nightI said "Monty, why don't you sleep with me anymore?" and that night he started sleeping with me again.

I guess, if he speaks English, I'm going to have to start being more polite.
