9 February

Snow snow snow.
I was stomping around whining, but I realized that this is about the fourth time it has snowed all season, so I should just keep my yap shut.

Yesterday I had my colour photography class, which I was half an hour late for due to oversleeping. I think I may have mentioned The Stupidest Photographer in the World whom I was partnered with last week. This week, however, I lucked out, and got someone else.

The Stupidest Photographer in the World did pretty much the stupidest thing in the world. You see, in a box of 100 paper there is also a piece of cardboard, and I as well as other students would feel in the absolute darkness for a piece of paper, feel the cardboard, go "Goodness me, that's cardboard", put it back, take out a piece of paper, and carry on.

Not The Stupidest Photographer in the World!

He took the cardboard, exposed the negative on it, put it in the safe box, took it to the machine, put it in, and waited in anticipation for his picture to emerge.

Light dawned when other people's prints came out covered in bits of cardboard.

I made a hideous mistake yesterday.

I walked into B. Dalton.
All I wanted was the new Oliver Sacks book, Island of the Colourblind, I SWEAR, but I ended up also getting the Mia Farrow book, ('cause you can't get something as cheesy as that without also buying something along the lines of the new Oliver Sacks book as a beard), The Clinic, which is the new Jonathan Kellerman book, Spike Mike Slackers and Dykes, an indy film book, Wicked-The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West, Horrors of the Dancing Gods, and two blank books covered in crushed red velvet.

The next time anyone sees me anywhere near a bookstore, TACKLE ME!!!

Another diary I read, Aries Moon, has removed her page counter, a move that I find extraordinary. I am completely addicted to my page counters--I check them at the same time every day. I don't think that I could ever get rid of them.

I think that Lucy is much more evolved than I am...

Best of yesterday was sitting in front of the computer all day, reading other people's journals, and watching backed up tapes of ER and Friends and Frasier and Miss Marple and Chicago Hope. That's what I call a great day!

Worst of yesterday was having to get up at 8.30. Eight more weeks until this class (which I love) is over and I can sleep in on a Saturday again.

On Friday I added a bio to this page, but it's a secret where it is.
Clever people will find it, but only if they really want to.
