Well, I got good news and I got bad news.
On the love life front, it turns out that the Engine is not gay after all!
Yay!
However, the reason that I know he's not gay is because it turns out that he's dating not only the prettiest girl I know, but the smartest nicest funniest most talented prettiest girl I know.
Boo!
It's hideously annoying. Because with almost any other girl I know, I can console myself by saying "Well, at least I'm funnier that she is", but that won't fly here. The Engine hit the jackpot, and he won't ever look at me now.
On the show front, the good news is that we have been extended for two more dates down on the Mainstage. The bad news is that said two more dates are the 25th and 26th of February, and I'm back in LA for my father's memorial on those dates.
I just can't get a fucking break, can I?
The memorial is on the 23rd, probably, and maybe I could come back on the 24th, and maybe I'll only be there for a couple of days, and...O what the hell. If God loves me at all, it'll work out. Somehow.
Other show news is all good. We sold out both nights, I expect to do so again tonight, the playwright is extremely happy, and all of the actors are kicking out the jams.
I started my new colour photography class yesterday. Pretty cool, except for the fact that I was stuck with sharing a darkroom with the stupidest person there, who got extremely freaked by the fact that colour work needs to be done in absolute darkness-no safe lights allowed, and whom I had to help with everything. We made photograms, which is when you just place objects on the paper and shine light on it, rather than shine light through a negative. It's a really neat effect, that apparently everyone else on earth did as beginners in Black and White photography, but I never did.
I gotta do that again.
