Spent the weekend doing my Open Pages duty, i.e. a monthly trip around the ring checking to see that there has been an update in the last month (there hasn't) and that the ring graphic controls work and are placed properly (they're not). It's really funny, these rambling missives I send to Kat. The first hundred or so I'll just say:

For 100-200 I start getting a little more impatient:

So and So's Diary http://www.whatever.com/~whoever/diary.html Ring fragment on wrong page. That seems to be popular this month!

For 200-300, it's more like:

So and So's Diary http://www.whatever.com/~whoever/diary.html Silly cow moved her diary page but didn't change it with OP. How stupid ARE these people?

And after 300, it's:

So and So's Diary http://www.whatever.com/~whoever/diary.html 16 August. Kill her.

And then Kat takes this snottiness from me and turns it into nice nudging notes without any comments about the serious lack of brains involved in making these mistakes. O, and for any OP members reading this can I please make a small announcement?

Put your motherfucking ring fragment on your motherfucking linked page! That being the motherfucking rule as you motherfucking well know.

I read that Stephen Spielberg is going to remake The Haunting of Hill House, which is a brilliant book by Shirley Jackson and a brilliant movie (called The Haunting) by Robert Wise. He's gonna fill it full of special effects, too.

I wonder why I think it'll be the worse remake since Diabolique?

Hey, Mark did a neat thing!

He started a new project, The Journal Interviews, which is just what it says. He's interviewing the on-line journalists, and his first interview is with me. So go look!
