(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

15 December

So yesterday was a nice day, though I ate about five full meals.

First of all I went to the Weehawken McDonald's for the first time--got there around twenty minutes before the End of Breakfast, ordered my sausage-biscuit-no-egg-two-hash-brown-patties-to-go only to find that they had run out of sausage!!

Not an auspicious beginning, I'll tell ya.
Running out of sausage at 10.40 indeed...

So I went to the supermarket and bought some pancake fixin's, which I proceeded to go home and fix, along with the maple sausages (I knew there had to be a reason that I bought those the other day!) and had a lovely breakfast.

Which I finished just in time to leave the house for lunch.

I had lunch with Jennifer Wade and The Diarist That Must Not Be Named.

Jen wrote us last week saying that she was coming to town and asking whether we'd like to meet for lunch. I was thrown for a loop, because though I read her journal and am on her notify list, I had no idea that she ever read mine--we had barely exchanged any e-mails. It seems that she does, though, and because of that we felt as though we had known each other all along. And it was great seeing A again, too. It's funny how we lived until very recently in the same borough and we only ever get together when an out of town journalist drops in!

Anyway, we had lunch at the Dine-O-Mat and had a swell time.

Then I went to Michelle and Marq's to take their Xmas picture.

Logan Reilly is four months old now, and has teeth, the little mutant, proving it by chomping hard on my thumb for awhile. I think that the pics will turn out really cute, as the baby was in a little Santa outfit.

I told them that it would be a perfect picture to embarrass him with when he's fifteen and bringing girls home.

The other day I got out of the subway at 42nd St. and there was a guy playing Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer with a cha-cha beat on a Casio.

DEFINITELY some sort of commuter torture project!
