(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

I'm still sick!

I know you're probably entirely bored with hearing about the state of my health (or lack thereof) but I doubt you could be anything like as bored as I am with being sick. John made me promise to go to the doctor on Monday.

I went to the office yesterday and put in a few hours work, then John and I went to see Alien Resurrection, which was just grand.

Sigourney Weaver was terrific, of course, as was Winona Ryder, but it was an extremely strong cast all around. Michael Wincott has the greatest voice since Lance Henriksen (I'd give alot for a tape of those two having a conversation), Ron Perlman was as cool as ever, Brad Dourif, looking more and more like an old drag queen every day, was seriously spooky, and Leland Orser, an actor whom I have never seen before, was extremely engaging and wasn't in the movie anything like enough.

My only serious complaint is with Dominique Pinon, an actor that I have loathed in everything but Diva, but for some unknown reason Jean-Pierre Jeunet uses in all of his films. And I must say that the most seriously revolting thing in the picture had nothing at all to do with the aliens, it was the sight of Dan Hedaya in a tank top.
The man must be part yeti!

Well, I am slowly starting to put things away. Very slowly.

I have been basically pulling a spoon out of a box twice a day to serve cat food with, but last night I decided to put out the dish drainer and wash those spoons. So now I can pull them out of the dish drainer as needed!

I have no idea where the silverware holder is.

I have been taking advantage of the joys of having a washing machine and dryer in the house as well. It's extraordinary. You dump your clothes in the machine, add soap, press the button, and come back in half an hour! I did three loads of laundry yesterday just for the fun of it.

Here's what I want to know.

How come now that I am in Yahoo Internet life, my hits have gone down? Al said, jokingly, that the listing has made me mainstream, which is the kiss of death.

He may be right!

One year ago today:
It was so gruesome I could barely keep my eyes off of it.
