Yesterday was the most exhausting day at work.
Dave wasn't there and Diane wasn't there and there were all these huge emergency checks that had to be cut, and I decided to, for some unknown reason, return all of the calls that I have been letting pile up in my voice-mail for two weeks, so there were all these frantic people who wanted their checks! Now!!
I was about ready to stick a knife in my eye.
At Radio City before The Blues Brothers they showed the trailer for Blues Brothers 2000 that was made just for us, because Dan Aykroyd was there as Elwood saying "Hello Radio City!" and I noticed two things. The first was that his accent was all wrong--he didn't sound like Elwood at all. And the other thing was that he may not have sounded like Elwood, but by Christ he looked just like him! He must have lost about 80 pounds. He didn't even look any older!
I might just see that sequel after all, Jim Belushi or no Jim Belushi.
Elvis was sitting on the cat tree the other morning.
And if you didn't know that Elvis was a cat, you'd really think that I was a loon. But my point is that I've had that thing for like five years and them bad kitties have never looked at it with anything but absolute loathing, so I don't know where this sudden perching came from.
The other day on my way to lunch I had to walk right between the crazy violent homeless guy that lives on the block and that annoying psychic woman handing out flyers.
Honestly, the crazy violent homeless guy is a good deal less irritating.
