(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

Looky! Looky looky looky!

(Best of the Net)

Every Monday I go to the Mining Co, look for my name, then yell "I'm never getting listed! Never never NEVER!!!" And now I am! Hooray!

I've been noticing a strange trend amongst on-line journalists.

Everyone's being cagey about their birthdays! I am constantly reading entries that start "Well my birthday was yesterday" or something, and my jaw just drops. I guess that's the cool way to be or something, but I'm just not capable of that level of smoothness. So:

My birthday is on Saturday!!!

And not to sound like the biggest ho on earth, but feel free my darlings, to send me an Electric Postcard, or some Virtual Flowers, or some Other Virtual Flowers, or a Virtual Present!

So my Cineplex Odeon passes expire on 31 August and I have like eight to use up, so I've decided to go to the movies every night.

Last night I got out of work around 7.10p, picked up the paper, and found that every single Cineplex Odeon film in the nabe that I wanted to see had started at seven...but I really wanted to see a film. I was in the zone, you know? So you know what I did?

I paid $8.75! I'm such a dingbat.

The film I saw, Mrs. Brown, doesn't happen to be playing at any Cineplex Odeon theatres, so I would have had to pay anyway, but still...

It's a wonderful filum, by the way. Dame Judi and Anthony Sher were both wonderful, natch, but Billy Connolly was a revelation. I read a review or two that said that he was a cypher onscreen, and I would like to know where the hell these people's eyes are. He was heartbreaking. And proof positive that there is nothing on earth more manly than a big man in a kilt.

We have a winnah!

The first person to correctly define the phrase " 'She' is the cat's mother." was Miss Amanda Gaden of Canberra, Australia! Let's give a big hand for the little lady!
