Diet update: I know I didn't do this last week, which must have looked very suspicious, but it was just that I forgot, and if I miss a Monday I have to wait until the next Monday (I am a slave to the rules in my head). Anyway, this/last week I lost 2 pounds, which makes 9 altogether.
So, Just War closed last night, and my nights are now free! Phew!
It went pretty well. There were some awfully interesting line bobbles, particularly when Adam, instead of saying "My Grandfather got a purple heart" he said "My Grandfather got...a nice...Medal of Honor", and when Conrad called the character of Craig "Rick", even though there is no character named Rick in the show, but they kept covering and going on, which is what you've gotta do.
I finally finished glassdog!!
I also sent Lance (who will marry Alex Massie someday and break my heart) an exhaustive list of mistakes he has made, mostly in the "next" and "last" links. I always say that I'm glad when someone tells me I've made an error so that I can correct it, but I swan, if I got this huge mother list from someone that I didn't really know, I'd want to clonk them over the head!
But Lance just thanked me nicely. What a guy...

Anyone know that phrase? Anyone? My mother says it all the time, and now I say it all the time, because we are bound to pick up our parent's vocal tics (someday I'll have a child who yells out "Muthapussbucket!" at every given opportunity. And won't I be proud.) and no-one seems to understand it. They always look at me with that Scooby-Doo confused look on their face.
The first person who can correctly define the usage for the above phrase gets a prize!
