So, Cynthia and Fran have bought the house!

Well, their bid has been accepted, who knows what could happen, but if all goes well we'll be in the new house in November.

And I know that I said all kinds of things about my bit of it before, but thinking about it in retrospect, it's not so bad. There's a back yard, and a washer/dryer, and I can of course hang out in the rest of the house if I want to. I'll live.

And besides, since they are looking in such a small area, only two other houses are viable and they are both much worse. Much much worse! And due to reasons that I am not at liberty to say, they can't wait to see if anything else is coming on the market.

So, it's a gorgeous house, if slightly too expensive, and I get to move to Weehawken, and the kids will be able to take care of my cats when I'm away, and I'll be able to babysit without then having an hour and a half ride home, and Cynthia has a car so I'll be able to cadge rides, and the walls will be painted the exact colour that I want and I'll have lots of built-in shelves, and there's a walk in closet and a linen closet and maybe I'll get a dog!

Pretty cool, huh?

So, there was a baby shower for Antonette at work yesterday, that I didn't get to go to, but it was cool. Kelly was one of the hosts, and she was trying to figure out how she and I could switch back and forth so that we could both go and yet always have someone on the phones, but I said no, that would be silly, and they brought me back this great grilled chicken sandwich and a piece of cake.

See? I don't have to go to the party, I just have to be invited, that's all!

On the subway yesterday morning I was standing by this one seat where this woman was sitting and eating this giant slab of meat. It was the strangest thing I have ever seen--it was about an inch thick and as big around as a plate.

Not a saucer, a plate.

So it was like she was eating this cold meat Frisbee. At 9a.

Hey hey hey, looky here (and look quickly as I'm not certain how often they update over there)! Isn't it cool?!!!

That's quite a list to be on--one of these things is not like the other, huh?
