(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

25 April

Well, I finished Time and Again!

I read it right before going to sleep, but after I finished and turned off the light, all I could do was lie there with my eyes open thinking over and over again "What a wonderful story!"

And let me tell you one thing. I don't know how many of you have the disgraceful habit of flipping to the end when you're about halfway through a book and reading the last couple of pages, but believe you me, if you do that with this book you will want to kill yourself.

So be good and read it all in a row like you're supposed to.

An extremely odd thing happened last night.

I was going to bed to finish my book (see above) and I looked at the bed and saw a necklace in a neat little pile right below my pillow. I figured that the them bad kitties had batted it off the night table (alright, steamer trunk), so I picked it up and practically fell over.

It was a silver necklace with a silver sort of sealed silver locket with a picture of me as a newborn in it. And the funny part is that I hadn't seen this necklace in about ten years. In fact, I had forgotten even that it existed. Now, you tell me, how did it get onto my bed right below my pillow in a nice neat pile?

Sitting down after that to read a book about time travel was pretty appropriate, I'll tell you.

Everyone remember The Great Key Fuss? When I was at work and I couldn't find my housekeys and I had just had them in my hand and I had to jump through hoops practically to be able to get into my house and it took hours and hours?

Well, yesterday it was cold and rainy so I put on my big puffy waterproof coat and I had a book in my hand so I put it under my coat and my arm was bent in kind of a funny angle so it wouldn't fall out onto the ground and I felt this lump in my coat but it was above my pocket. So I feel around, and there's this zipper under my armpit, and it's sort of a breast pocket, so I reach in my hand and put out...

...my old housekeys.

And I realized that I must have put my keys in my pocket when my coat was on the back of a chair or something so I didn't notice that I was putting it in the Bizarre Mystery Brigadoon pocket.

What a chump!

The spellcheck in my e-mail program doesn't recognize the word e-mail.
Or the word email for that matter.

Not to mention the word spellcheck...
