Yesterday was just the strangest day...

First off, the cats decided that I should get up at 6a, which they indicated by starting vigorous fights right on top of my body and jumping on my head and all, and since I had to get up at 8.30 anyway I thought I might as well do so. Especially since it was our last photo class and I had never once showed up on time, so I did and I thought I'd really surprise the teacher, but she was late!

Anyway, we did our crits (critiques), and even though I'm not taking the class for credit, the crits are still important for my ego. All of the students that has toughed it out to the last class were very talented photographers, and though I was not the best, I was not the worst either, and with such a good group it's nice that I held my own.

Two of my pictures that were big hits in my crit were Artemis Finds Her Light and Artemis and the Wonder Wheel, as well as a couple of others in the Artemis at Coney Island series that I have not scanned.

During class it started pissing down rain and I felt like such a cheesehead 'cause at home that morning I thought, "Gee, I heard it might rain--I'd better not wear my suede jacket!" But I did not think, "Gee, I heard it might rain--I'd better wear a decent coat and a hat and maybe not carry all of my prints and negatives and paper and things in a brown paper grocery bag that will completely fall to bits as I get soaked!"

Then, Saturday night, I was very sleepy at 6.30p, so I thought I'd take a little nap until, say, 9p, so I set the alarm and went to sleep.

And got up at 4.40a.

I think I have screwed up my sleep schedule for the rest of my life!

I don't know if you read alot of on-line journals, but every single one I read this weekend either went to see Grosse Pointe Blank or wanted to see Grosse Pointe Blank!

For once in my entire life, I was way ahead of a trend!

Heard on Mystery Science Theatre 3000 during a movie with alot of mountain climbing:

"This movie is all ropes and asses!"

Friday night Leno's guests were Dennis Rodman and Rodney Dangerfield. Are they actively trying to drive away viewers by booking the most repellent guests possible?
