11 April What a nightmare yesterday was. I was EXHAUSTED and achy and my throat hurt and I was all stuffed up, but I finished (mostly) the damn voucher voiding. Bat Girl called me and said that she had found another problem, but she later said that she fixed it. Lucky for her, because I would have strangled her, and then quit. In that order.
Yesterday, I asked Melody what she thought of my new design, and she wrote the following letter. I thought that it was so funny that I asked her permission to post it here. And if you're mentioned and take offense, remember that it's a satire, and all in good fun.
"Well, to make up for my short comments I got together with a few of my diarist friends and we composed this for you...
Carolyn says she'll get back to you later - she has to be introspective for a while and examine her feelings about the choice of a beefy border in lieu of a border background. John of the gardening center wishes you'd just bring back the strawberries already, and kat` agrees, though she won't be particular about the type of plant as long as you buy it from where she works. Deb doesn't give a rat's ass about your new design, and Jay is pissed you've never sent him any food. Sandra is so excited she'll be writing a non-journal entry about it soon, Elly sends her love and Cardigan says that he's just happy you didn't steal his background like that bastard Ray from "My Thoughts" Kat would like to share her dismay at not seeing anything in written in Hawai'ian, and Nigel wishes you'd write some kind of program to keep track of how many times you're going to change the site by some arbitrary date. Several of the diarists were unavailable for comment. Javina's away at the candle store, Willa and Jackie are shopping for rubber stamps, Red Fish only comments once a month anyway, and Diane is still unpacking the new house. Lucy's working on her MOO and the Archipelago ring, and Laurel is enjoying a book written by a woman. Both send their love. Jennifer is taking her MCAT, Alison is at her new job and Courtney's practicing for her senior cello recital. your pal shelly's playing with her boo but Promises to write later, and Shelly is developing those pictures of new granddaughter Lindsay. Lila and Antonia are not yet home from school, and Cathy is busy making you a scrumptious dinner to celebrate the new design. I'm sure you'll forgive them all for not yet noticing or sending personal letters. With love from all of us -
So, it seems there is life on Europa!
