Another new redesign!
I haven't got the lines that I want yet, but I like it, me.
Lord have mercy, what have I done...
On Monday I was voiding a voucher, pressed the wrong button, and it voided without balancing. You'd think you could go back and fix that, wouldn't you?
NOPE!
I personally brought the entire accounting system to a dead halt for two days, and they had to end up removing the entire day from the system!
Which means that every bit of work that I did on Monday, I must re-do, which is no great problem, as I didn't do much, but Diane did a huge check run of about 200 checks. Now, the checks still exist and all, but the vouchers that the checks are for are now reading as unpaid, so I have to go into the system and individually void every single one.
About 400.
It's like you dropped a penny down the stairs and the only way to get it back is to demolish the entire house.
On the subway the other day, there was a man with a guitar, and he started to sing The Boxer, and I naturally chimed in with the Garfunkle part, but quietly to myself, and then the guitarist looked at me and smiled, so I sang louder and louder, until we were duetting!
It was really cool!
Overheard at work:
