(The Mighty Kymm--you'll not see nothing like!)

27 September

I stole my scene tonight. Well, me and Gregg, who plays James Joyce. We are the smallest part of the scene, practically, but we kept getting these HUGE laughs! I got three out of five lines, and Gregg got the biggest laugh in the scene. After our bit was over, we stay onstage for quite a while, and I leaned over and whispered to Gregg "I love this audience!"

Well, I'm going to Chicago on Wednesday, and I figured that I might want to find a place to stay. So, I called a Bed and Breakfast clearing house, and the cheapest place they had was $65 plus 11% hotel tax. That's not what I call cheap, m'self! The woman was lovely, and gave me a phone number of a dorm kind of place, and I called them, and they were $40 a night. So, I asked "Is it a bunch of beds in a big room, like a hostel?", and she said "O, no, you get your own room, you just have to share the bathroom!" And that's cool by me!

So, I'm really happy.

Laura needs to cry in her last scene, and she always listens to Valjean's death scene in Les Miserables on her Walkman, but the batteries died tonight, so since I had told her that I know the whole show off by heart, she had me sing it to her before she went onstage. Twice. And she did that scene better than she ever had before.

I am all-powerful, apparently.
