Today I finished reading the second book that I have to cover. It's a mystery about a detective who thinks she's the reincarnation of Calamity Jane.

It's about as good as you'd think.

I read an article recently that said that they were going to stop having cops on horseback in Central Park, but instead have cops on rollerblades.

Well, they're sure to arrest loads of crooks. What with them falling about laughing and all, they should be plenty easy to catch.

Re the Miss America Pageant yesterday:
If they were going to have all of the girls in the same swimsuit, why on earth did they pick the ugliest swimsuit in Christendom? Did they figure that it would only be fair if it suited none of them?

And WHAT was with those hideous suits they wore when they picked top five? Yechh!!

And, just as I was thinking "Boy, Miss Kansas sure has a big ass", she won!

Ain't just "baby got back" anymore, now it's Miss America got back!
