30 August Today I finally got up early enough to make the early show at the Plaza ($3.50) to see The Island of Dr. Moreau. I'll put my review up tomorrow, but I will say this: Camp classic.
Here is some stuff left over from my parent's visit: My folks made me laugh whenever we were on the subway. Since I was the only one who knew where we were going, usually, they kept a close eye on me, and whenever I twitched, they would leap from their seats, thinking it was our stop next.
Once, I was waiting for the D train with my Mom, and a train came, and she said "No, that one's no good, it's an M train". I had no idea what she was talking about, until I realized that she was looking at the giant M that stands for Metropolitan Transit Authority.
When we saw Rent, the theatre was so damn cold, I thought they were trying to make us empathize with the poor homeless characters in the show. All of the actors, by the way, wore coats throughout the entire thing.
